By accessing or using the Hanzi Hatch application (“App”), you agree that you have read, understood, and are bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
• Hanzi Hatch: Hanzi Hatch is a gamified Chinese learning application developed by Late Byte Labs. It allows users to learn Chinese characters (Hanzi), Pinyin, and vocabulary through quizzes and interactive gameplay while caring for a virtual pet.
• Educational Content: The App provides language learning tools, quizzes, and challenges designed for self-improvement and entertainment. We do not guarantee that the content is free from errors or suitable for academic certification.
• Gamified Pet System: Users earn rewards and maintain a virtual pet based on their learning performance. The pet simulation is for entertainment purposes only.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• Account Registration: To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it updated.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
• Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm other users or the App.
• Premium Features: Hanzi Hatch may include optional paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store or process payment details directly.
• Billing: Subscription renewals are managed by the respective platform (Apple or Google). Please review their terms for cancellation and refund policies.
• Refunds: All payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or store policy.
• Ownership: All content, code, graphics, text, sounds, and designs within the App are the exclusive property of Late Byte Labs or its licensors.
• License: We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written consent.

Hanzi Hatch is designed as a supplemental educational tool and entertainment platform. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the correctness, completeness, or suitability of the content. The App is not a replacement for formal language education.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no express or implied warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. You use the App at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Late Byte Labs and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the App during the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Late Byte Labs, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another person.
We may modify or update these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App, with or without notice, for any reason, including violations of these Terms or misuse of the App.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in New South Wales.
If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
